Auschwitz Jewish CenterThe Auschwitz Jewish Center is the only Jewish presence in Oświęcim, the town called Auschwitz during World War II. Their facilities include the Jewish Museum, the Chevra Lomdei Mishnayot Synagogue, the Education Center, and Café Bergson, located in the 100-year old Kluger Family House.
Their core exhibition tells the long history of the Jews of Oświęcim from the founding of the town’s Jewish community, through the vibrant interwar period, into the tragedy of the Second World War, and through communism. The Auschwitz Jewish Center is an affiliate of the Museum of Jewish Heritage - A Living Memorial to the Holocaust in New York. Please visit their website for more information. |

Friends of Jewish Heritage in PolandThe mission of the Friends of Jewish Heritage in Poland is to protect and commemorate the surviving sites and monuments of Jewish cultural heritage in Poland. Projects include cemetery and synagogue maintenance and restoration.
The Matzevah Foundation had the privilege to work alongside of them in 2016 in Markuszow, Poland. Together we cleaned, cleared and rededicated the Jewish cemetery. TMF looks forward to future projects together. Please visit their website for more information. |

Foundation for the Preservation of Jewish Heritage in PolandThe Foundation for the Preservation of Jewish Heritage in Poland (FODZ) works to protect and commemorate Jewish cultural heritage in Poland. They are committed to recovering, preserving, and commemorating sites around the country that have Jewish significance. Their work covers 200 synagogues and 1,200 cemeteries.
The Matzevah Foundation (TMF) has partnered with FODZ since January 2012. Together, we have commemorated the Jewish cemeteries in Zambrow (2102) and Markuszow (2016). Please visit their website to learn more about their work in Poland. |

Fundacja ZapomnianeFundacja Zapomniane was established by the members of the Rabbinical Commission for Jewish Cemeteries in Poland and is supervised by the Chief Rabbi of Poland. Their work focuses on the graves of Jews who are buried in nameless graves around Poland. In many cases, their exact location and identities of victims are unknown.
TMF has been working with Fundacja Zapomniane since 2017 by assisting them in a commemoration project that has to date marked and honored the graves of countless Jews who are buried in 30 different locations around Poland. Please visit their website for more information about their work. |

Rabbinical Commission for Jewish Cemeteries in Poland
The Rabbinical Commission for Jewish Cemeteries in Poland (RCC) was created in 2002 and has in recent years intensified its work on Holocaust mass grave sites. Attaching particular importance to a trustful relationship with local communities, the RCC has been very successful in its aspirations to locate hitherto unmarked mass graves.

Rohatyn Jewish HeritageRohatyn Jewish Heritage (RJH) manages projects of Jewish heritage preservation, education, and communication in the town of Rohatyn and in the region of western Ukraine. Ongoing projects include rehabilitation of desecrated Jewish cemeteries and recovery of displaced Jewish headstones, documentation, and commemoration of mass grave sites. They also participate in research and publication of local Jewish history and culture and host cross-cultural outreach and education programs.
The Matzevah Foundation partnered with them in August 2018 on a project to clean and clear the Old Jewish cemetery in Rohatyn. Please visit their website for more information. |

Studnia PamięciStudnia Pamięci deals with historical education, politics of memory and the Holocaust as well as Jewish heritage in the Lublin region in Poland.
They cooperate with the Center of Jewish Studies of Maria Curie-Skłodowska University (MCSU), MCSU Jewish Studies Students' Organisation, the State Museum at Majdanek, the Foundation for the Preservation of Jewish Heritage in Poland, the "Grodzka Gate - NN Theatre" Center, German organisation Bildungswerk Stanislaw Hantz and the Sobibor Foundation from Amsterdam. World Society of Częstochowa Jews and Their DescendentsThe World Society acts a clearing house for information and education. Its purpose is to foster and support research into the history of Częstochowa Jewry - their vital contribution to the commerce, industry, and culture of Częstochowa and beyond. They are currently working to restore the Jewish cemetery and making plans to establish a Częstochowa Jewish Museum.
